In honor of the September equinox, my yoga teacher Terri reminded us that autumn is the time when trees begin to shed what they no longer need.


What have you been holding onto that would benefit you to release this fall? Are you harboring resentment you’d like to release? Do others expect something from you that you no longer want to give? Do you have expectations of yourself that you’d like to let go?


We often associate growth with learning or experiencing something new that reshapes us, but we can also grow and strengthen ourselves by releasing what no longer serves us.
