“All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today.” – Unknown

After a cold, dark winter, spring finally is upon us. Longer and brighter days await. As novelist Leo Tolstoy said, “Spring is the time of plans and projects.” During this time of renewed energy, what projects await you?

Yesterday my husband and I planted grass seed to fill in some patchy spots on our front lawn. The work we did will take time to yield results, but I’ve learned that past effort often leads to beautiful, lasting results: Years ago, I planted daffodil bulbs in my garden that rise each spring.

What are the patchy spots in your life? What areas of your life need attention? Our overall well-being is affected by so many elements of our lives: physical and mental health, family, diet, exercise, work, environment, friends, creative endeavors, spirituality and finances. What’s one area of your life in which you’d like to plant seeds to promote growth? How might you get started?
